WB Police Bongaon Driver Recruitment 2026

WB Police Bongaon Driver Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Bongaon Police District of West Bengal Police is hiring temporary Drivers on contract for its establishment in Bongaon, North 24 Parganas. The posts were cleared by a Home and Hill Affairs Department order of 30 September 2026, followed by an IGP (HQ) order on 6 October 2026. This is a one-year contract job, not a regular police post. It suits experienced four-wheeler drivers with a Class VIII pass who want steady government-linked work in their own district.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The engagement lasts one year from the day you sign the contract. Renewal depends on satisfactory performance.
• No regular absorption: Contract drivers cannot be absorbed into, or claim appointment to, the regular government establishment, and no future claim for regularisation will be entertained.
• Domicile: You must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of West Bengal; residents of the Bongaon Police District area get preference.
• Character check: Selected candidates must submit a Police Clearance Certificate or go through antecedent verification at the time of joining.
• Shortlisting: If the number of applicants is very high, the office may shortlist on the basis of educational qualification and driving experience before the driving test.
• Merit list: Results are published on the West Bengal Police website and on the unit notice board.
• Canvassing: Any canvassing or attempt to bring influence is treated as disqualification.
• Contract rules: Your service follows the terms of the contract and government rules, and the authority can cancel the process at any stage without giving reasons.

Application Submission Notes

Fill the prescribed application format on white A4 paper in English block letters, and paste one recent self-attested passport-size photo (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) on the top right. Attach self-attested copies of the documents listed for this post.
