UPCAR Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

- Provisional candidature: Receiving an admit card does not confirm final acceptance. The appointing authority must first check the supporting records.
- Existing employment: Applicants working in government, public sector undertakings or autonomous organisations must apply through the proper channel.
- Council's discretion: UPCAR may cancel or withdraw the advertisement and may leave advertised posts unfilled. The notice says it will not enter into correspondence about this decision.
- Language differences: If the Hindi and English advertisements differ, the English version will be treated as final.
- Service coverage: Recruited staff will come under the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) arrangements specified by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, unless its rules provide otherwise.

परीक्षा पैटर्न
Tier I: Written Test
You will take an OMR-based objective multiple-choice test in English and Hindi. The notice states negative marking of 1/4 for each wrong answer. It does not specify the number of questions, total marks, duration or subject-wise distribution.
Merit: Your written-test score determines the merit list, and scores may be normalised. Ties are resolved first by placing the older applicant higher, then by English alphabetical order of names.
Tier II: Practical Assessment
The trade, skill or computer proficiency test applies where required for the post. It is qualifying in nature.
Admit card: You can download it about 1 week before the written test. It will not be sent by post.
