TiHAN-IITH Senior Research Assistant Fellow 6G Recruitment 2026: Overview
NMICPS TiHAN Foundation, IIT Hyderabad (TiHAN-IITH) is hiring a Senior Research Assistant Fellow for 6G Communications at its autonomous-navigation technology hub. This is an applied wireless-research role that connects 5G and emerging 6G ideas with radio-access network implementation, software-defined radios, performance testing, and AI-enabled network control. The work goes beyond theoretical communication models: you are expected to understand the standards, implement procedures, inspect protocol behaviour, and measure whether the network meets practical quality targets. It is a strong fit if you can move comfortably between communication theory, code, simulation tools, and hands-on radio experimentation.

- 5G NR and O-RAN: The core research setting uses 5G New Radio physical and MAC layers together with O-RAN architecture and frame structures. You will need to connect implementation choices with the relevant 3GPP 38-series specifications.
