THSTI Multi-Post Research Recruitment 2026: Overview

BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI) is building project teams for maternal and child health, pulmonary disease, live biotherapeutics and tuberculosis research. It works under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council in the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology. These short-term project appointments span hospital-based assessment and laboratory research, so your day-to-day work will depend on the project you join.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Research Scientist-II (Senior Psychologist): Supports the antenatal corticosteroid follow-up study at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, under Dr. Nitya Wadhwa.
• Occupational Therapist: Joins GARBH-INI Phase II at Civil Hospital, Sector 10, Gurugram, for infant and child assessment.
• Senior Technical Assistant: Supports GARBH-INI Phase II biospecimen work and may work at Gurugram Civil Hospital when the project needs it.
• Project Technical Support-III: Works with Dr. Samrat Chatterjee on fibrosis-linked circular RNA and proteomic changes in pulmonary disease.
• Research Scientist, Project Research Fellow and Project Technician: Join Dr. Bhabatosh Das's project on recombinant live biotherapeutics, GLP2 and synthetic mimics.
• Project Research Scientist-I: Joins Dr. Amit Kumar Pandey's project developing screening assays for molecules targeting tuberculosis persisters.

Post-wise Duties

Project Research Scientist-II

You will conduct and record infant neurodevelopment assessments, guide study staff and counsel mothers and parents about health concerns and early intervention.

Occupational Therapist

You will assess infants and children, enter assessment scores electronically and help develop study operating materials with the clinical research team.

Senior Technical Assistant

You will process and barcode biospecimens, arrange storage and shipment, carry out nucleic-acid work and keep biorepository records.

Project Technical Support-III

You will support lung-fibrosis models, cell culture, molecular experiments and proteomics sample preparation. You will also compile data and help write reports.

Research Scientist

You will engineer bacterial genomes for peptide delivery, conduct animal experiments and interpret sequencing and mass-spectrometry data.

Project Research Fellow

You will develop animal models for intestinal health research and work on cloning and expression of peptide-coding genes in gut bacteria.

Project Technician

You will prepare bacterial cultures, extract genomic and plasmid DNA and support routine microbiology laboratory work.

Project Research Scientist-I

You will work with mycobacteria, handle animals in a biosafety laboratory and process biological samples for bacterial analysis.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Continuation: Extension depends on satisfactory performance and project tenure. These appointments do not provide a claim to regular employment.
• Workplace: The psychologist and therapist have named hospital postings; the technical assistant may also need to work at Gurugram Civil Hospital.
• Communication: THSTI sends individual communication by email and publishes results and notices on its website.
• Changes: Staffing requirements may be revised according to actual project needs.

Application Submission Notes

For Project Research Scientist-II (Senior Psychologist), report to Room No. 366C, Child Development Centre, Third Floor, OPD Building, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi 110029. For all other roles, the venue is THSTI, NCR Biotech Science Cluster, 3rd Milestone, Faridabad-Gurugram Expressway, Faridabad 121001.

Reporting is at 9:00 am on your role's walk-in date, and late arrivals are not admitted. At the THSTI venue, your phone and identity proof must stay at reception until the recruitment proceedings finish.

• Assess infant development and counsel families in the clinical roles.
• Record clinical assessment results and support study materials.
• Process, barcode and track biospecimens in the biorepository role.
• Run cell-culture and molecular experiments for the pulmonary research project.
• Study bacterial genomes and peptide expression in the biotherapeutics roles.
