Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the apex institution for financing and developing India's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, is hiring a Deputy Chief Technology Officer (Dy CTO) on a contractual basis, posted at its Mumbai office. This is Advertisement No. 05/2026-27, part of SIDBI's plan to build stronger in-house technology and cyber security capability as the bank works to double its MSME-sector impact over the next five years and become the "point of first contact" for MSMEs at every stage of their journey. The Dy CTO reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and takes charge of enterprise architecture, network infrastructure, cloud security and cyber resilience — working closely with the CISO, risk, audit and compliance teams to keep the bank aligned with RBI, CERT-In and DPDP Act requirements. Senior technology leaders with two decades of banking and financial services experience are best placed to apply.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The engagement starts for three years with an interim review, and the Bank may extend it by up to two more years at its sole discretion. Either side can end the contract with three months' notice.
• Eligibility bar may change: SIDBI can raise the qualification or experience requirement later to manage how many candidates get called for interview.
• Selection is interview-only: There is no written test — the merit list is built purely from interview scores, and candidates who tie on marks are ranked by age, older first.
• NOC requirement: Candidates currently working in government offices, PSUs or nationalised banks must bring a No Objection Certificate to the interview, or their travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
• Online interview: The interview itself is conducted online, so you will need a stable internet connection and the equipment mentioned in your call letter.
• Handwritten applications rejected: Only typed applications and CVs are accepted — handwritten submissions are summarily rejected.
• Post details are indicative: SIDBI reserves the right to change the vacancy count or the post title without prior notice.

• Lead enterprise-wide technology architecture and infrastructure modernization across data centres, cloud and disaster recovery sites
• Drive network security programs including Zero Trust, next-generation firewalls, SASE and micro-segmentation
• Oversee identity and access management, privileged access management and multi-factor authentication systems
• Manage vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and cyber incident response
• Build cyber resilience plans covering ransomware protection, immutable backups and disaster recovery drills
• Report technology and cyber risk metrics to senior management and board-level committees
• Coordinate with the CISO, risk, audit and compliance teams to meet RBI and CERT-In requirements
• Optimize technology contracts, software licenses and vendor relationships to control costs
