State Health Assurance Society, Odisha (SHAS), under the state Health and Family Welfare Department, is building a panel of specialist doctors for its Claims Review Committee. The assignment is part-time and linked to the health assurance scheme, making it suitable for serving or retired government doctors who want to use their clinical experience in a review role rather than a regular hospital posting. Your specialist judgement will support decisions on government healthcare claims handled through the Society.

The committee role centres on reviewing and settling claims with the care expected from an experienced specialist. SHAS is looking specifically for doctors who understand the working of government medical colleges, so familiarity with public-sector clinical records and institutional processes is important. This is an empanelment-style engagement rather than a permanent appointment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement is purely temporary, part-time and co-terminus with the scheme. Renewal depends on the Society's terms and needs.
• Panel validity: Doctors who reach the qualifying standard in the interview will remain on the approved panel for one year from the date the panel is approved.
• Current SHAS panels: Specialists already working as Pre-authorization Processing Doctors or Claim Processing Doctors under SHAS will not be considered for this committee.
• Service record: A person earlier removed from a public or private institution for financial misuse, corruption, poor performance or criminal activity will not be considered.
• Serving doctors: If you are currently in government service, you must produce a No Objection Certificate from your controlling authority at the walk-in or before joining.
• Interview arrangements: A large turnout may require interviews to continue on another day. SHAS will inform registered candidates if that happens.
• Communication: Updates and the result will appear through email and the official NHM or GJAY websites; canvassing can disqualify you.

Carry your original certificates for checking along with one self-attested photocopy set, two recent colour photographs and a photo identity document. An incomplete form or unclear supporting record can lead to rejection at registration.
