SGMH Junior Resident Dental Recruitment 2026: Overview

Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital (SGMH), under the Government of NCT of Delhi, is recruiting Junior Residents in Dental for its hospital in Mangolpuri. This is an ad-hoc engagement against vacant posts, with continuation linked to your work and the arrival of a regular appointee.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial appointment: You join for 89 days. An extension can take the engagement up to one year, subject to satisfactory performance, work and conduct, or until a regular candidate joins, whichever comes first.
• Overall tenure: The one-year limit includes Junior Resident service already completed at any recognised institution, whether that service was regular or ad hoc.
• Extension request: Continuing beyond the initial term needs a satisfactory report from the concerned Head of Department and your written request. An extension is conditional.
• Reservation arrangements: If suitable applicants from the reserved categories are unavailable, the hospital may fill those places from the general category, and vice versa, for the ad-hoc term.
• Disability preference: If an applicant with a disability applies and is selected, the hospital will give preference under the applicable rules.
• Travel costs: The hospital will not pay travelling or daily allowance for attending the screening test or interview. You need to make your own travel arrangements.
• Accommodation: Hostel accommodation depends on availability. The notice does not guarantee a hostel place with the appointment.
• False claims: A false reserved-category claim can lead to termination and further action under the applicable law.
• Recruitment changes: The hospital can change the available posts, terms or schedule, or cancel the recruitment. Its competent authority takes the final decision on appointment matters.
