SCTIMST Project Technical Support I Recruitment 2026: Overview
Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) is hiring a Project Technical Support I for its Biomedical Technology Wing in Thiruvananthapuram. This contractual role supports Project P.8282, funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The study examines whether extracellular vesicles from mesenchymal stem cells act directly against lung fibrosis or work through changes in the immune response. Your work will support a team investigating how these vesicles could help treat pulmonary fibrosis.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project appointment: You will join a defined research project at the Biomedical Technology Wing. Read the engagement as a project contract when considering the opportunity and its continuation terms.
- Initial tenure: The appointment runs initially up to 09.03.2027. The notice indicates a possible extension up to 09.03.2029, so you should not treat the longer period as a guaranteed appointment.
- Reservation condition: The opening is reserved for Scheduled Caste applicants. The institute says it will consider the unreserved category if no suitable Scheduled Caste applicant is available. This is a fallback condition within the same recruitment.
- Travel expenses: SCTIMST will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. You will need to make your own travel arrangements for the visit to the Biomedical Technology Wing.
