State Bank of India (SBI) is recruiting specialist officers on contract for its Wealth Management and Premier Banking Department. The notice brings together sales leadership, investment research, business processes, technology coordination and central operations. Mumbai is the suggested posting location, but SBI can place selected officers elsewhere according to business needs.

Posts and Disciplines

• Head Sales: A leadership role covering the wealth-management sales organisation and its customer-service goals.
• Central Research Team (Product Lead): A research and product role working with the Head of Product, Investment and Research.

Post-wise Duties

Head Sales

You will guide wealth sales strategy, review performance with regional teams and coach relationship managers. The work also covers service standards, customer retention and coordination with other departments on technology-based solutions.

Central Research Team (Product Lead)

You will prepare product notes, market updates and investment views, and review wealth-product offerings before approval. The role includes working with market-data providers, research agencies and investment teams, alongside analysis of products and client portfolios.

Manager (Business Process)

You will improve sales and customer-management processes across front-office and back-office teams. Your work includes planning, budgeting, business reviews and designing processes that cover the customer journey.

Project Development Manager (Technology)

You will explain business requirements to IT teams and technology partners, and coordinate development, integration and fixes. You will also prepare user-level operating manuals for technology interfaces.

Central Operations Team (COT) Support

You will handle daily central operations, including end-of-day work, order reconciliation and data uploads. The role involves coordination with asset management companies and resolving processing problems.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract and renewal: The engagement is for five years, with a possible further four-year renewal at SBI’s discretion and subject to its conditions.
• Ending the contract: Either side can end the engagement with two months’ notice or payment/surrender of two months’ compensation instead. The notice permits termination without assigning a reason.
• Leave: Contract officers have an entitlement of 30 days during the financial year, with leave granted for reasons accepted by the bank.
• Mobility: SBI may transfer you to any of its offices in India or depute you to an associate, subsidiary or another organisation. A request for a particular office or location may not be accepted.
• Previous non-joining or resignation: The notice sets a two-year bar for specified previous wealth-banking recruits who did not join and for former contract staff in these posts who resigned. Former staff covered by a caution notice face a bar on future recruitment.
• Reservation: Disability reservation is horizontal and forms part of the relevant parent category. OBC reservation is limited to the non-creamy layer; applicants from categories without a reserved opening can compete for unreserved posts under the applicable conditions.
• Role scope: SBI describes the job profiles as illustrative. It will assign key result areas when you join and may add work to the listed role.
• Travel: Interview travel reimbursement follows the call letter and the shorter-route or actual-cost limit in the notice. Local taxi, cab and personal-vehicle expenses are excluded.
