Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), a unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), is hiring 1 Advisor/Consultant for its Liaison & Administration Department. Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) Advisor/Consultant (Liaison & Administration) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

SAIL's Bhilai Steel Plant has released Advertisement No. Advisor-L&A/2026-27/878, dated 28 July 2026, to engage one Advisor/Consultant to support its Liaison & Administration Department at Ispat Bhavan, Bhilai. This is not a fresh recruitment for job-seekers in general — it is a re-engagement opportunity exclusively for ex-executives of SAIL who have already superannuated. As Advisor, you will help improve guest experience, coordinate VIP visits and events, and advise on protocol and service quality within the department. No written exam is required — shortlisted candidates are called directly for an interview, and the initial engagement runs for 6 months, extendable by another 6 months based on performance.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise and one of India's largest steel producers, with plants across Bhilai, Durgapur, Rourkela, Bokaro, Burnpur, and Salem. Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh is SAIL's flagship integrated steel manufacturing unit, and this kind of post-retirement Advisor engagement lets the plant continue benefiting from the experience of its senior former executives in specialised functions like Liaison & Administration.

Who Can Apply?

• Eligibility: Only retired SAIL executives of Grade E3 to E7 can apply — this role is not open to fresh graduates or candidates outside SAIL.
• Performance Record: You should have no 'C' grading in your appraisal ratings for the last 3 years of service before superannuation.
• Conduct: You must have a good service record with no ongoing disciplinary or vigilance proceedings at the time of engagement.
• Medical Fitness: A medical fitness certificate is required along with your application.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit for this engagement is 65 years, counted from the date of issue of the advertisement (28 July 2026) or extension.

Salary

• Grade E3: Rs. 50,000 per month
• Grade E4: Rs. 60,000 per month
• Grade E5: Rs. 70,000 per month
• Grade E6: Rs. 80,000 per month
• Grade E7: Rs. 1,00,000 per month
• You will also get other benefits as per SAIL company guidelines for this engagement.

Selection Process

The selection is done in two steps:

1. Application Screening: SAIL, Bhilai reviews your application, service record, and appraisal ratings.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview.
