RERA Assam Stenographer Recruitment 2026: Overview
The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Assam is taking on Stenographers to take English shorthand and run the Authority's office correspondence. RERA Assam is the state body that registers real estate projects and agents and hears homebuyer complaints under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, so the work sits close to the Authority's case files, hearings and orders. This is a temporary engagement created for a fixed body of work, not a sanctioned government post — the advertisement says so in plain words. If you are a graduate who can take shorthand in English and are comfortable with MS Office, this one is open to you.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Engagement: The work is offered as a temporary, contractual engagement for six months to begin with.
- No sanctioned post: RERA Assam states clearly that there is no sanctioned post against this work, and the engagement gives you no right to claim a regular appointment under the Government of Assam or under RERA, Assam.
- Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India as defined in Articles 5 and 8 of the Constitution of India.
- Stenography test: Shortlisted candidates may have to sit a stenography test in English. RERA Assam will write to them separately about the date and place — no common call letter is published.
- No TA/DA: The Authority pays no travel or daily allowance for attending the interview.
- Right to cancel: RERA Assam can cancel, change or postpone this engagement process without giving any reason.

The last date to submit your application is 10 October 2026. Since the form travels by post, send it early enough to reach the Secretary, RERA Assam before that date.
You will get a fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 20,000. No other allowances are payable on top of this amount.
You need a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university and proficiency in English stenography from a recognized institution. You should also know MS Office and office correspondence, and your age must be between 21 and 40 years as on 1 September 2026.
Fill the official RERA Assam application format printed with the advertisement, attach self-attested copies of your certificates and two passport-size photographs, and send it to The Secretary, Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Assam. There is no online application for this engagement.
RERA Assam will shortlist from the applications received. Shortlisted candidates may then have to clear a stenography test in English and an interview, carrying their original certificates with them. No TA/DA is paid for attending.
