Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is recruiting Associate Professor and Assistant Professor staff for its Postgraduate Institute at Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in Sant Tukaramnagar, Pimpri. These contractual appointments connect postgraduate medical teaching with the work of a municipal hospital. The notice also covers positions expected to become vacant, so an appointment against such a position starts only when it actually becomes available.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: the engagement is for three years. It gives you no right to a permanent appointment, and it ends earlier if a regular faculty member takes over the post.
• Earlier termination: PCMC can end the engagement without notice when it no longer needs the service. Read this condition alongside the stated contract term before accepting an offer.
• Working hours: you will follow the postgraduate institute’s faculty schedule and National Medical Commission requirements. Hospital needs can also involve emergency duty.
• Time off: the notice allows one weekly day off and eight casual-leave days per year, earned at one day for each one and a half months worked. Public-holiday duty does not bring extra compensation or benefits.
• Leaving the role: give the office at least one month’s written notice. Otherwise, you must deposit one month’s contract pay with PCMC, and an experience certificate will be withheld until this is settled.
• Attendance: you must record biometric attendance and sign the attendance register every day. Both records are required for release of your monthly payment.
• Joining: report within seven days of the appointment order. If you do not join within that period, PCMC can offer the position to another candidate or someone on the waiting list.
• Existing engagements: you cannot join while working or registered at another postgraduate or educational institution. Current contract faculty at this institute whose orders run beyond October 2026 must not apply.
• Recruitment discretion: PCMC may increase, reduce or cancel the advertised positions. The notice also provides for filling reserved positions under the stated reservation rules if suitable applicants are unavailable.
• Interview travel: you must meet your own travel costs. PCMC will not pay an allowance for attending the interview.
