OUAT Multi-Post KVK Recruitment 2026: Overview
Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is recruiting contractual project staff for its Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). This revised recruitment brings together farm-management, programme-support and stenography posts under the university. The key condition is that employment remains tied to continued funding from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
Posts and Disciplines
- Farm Manager: A farm-management post within the KVK establishment.
- Programme Assistant: A programme-support post in the same network of university KVKs.
- Stenographer: A stenography post within the KVK project establishment.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project funding: Your appointment continues only while ICAR provides full funding for the central project. The notice does not offer terminal benefits to KVK employees.
- Employer liability: OUAT and the State Government will not take on liabilities relating to the KVK project or its employees.
- Transfers: You may be moved between KVKs under OUAT. The notice limits transfers to this university network.
- Minimum service: You must serve for at least one year and may need to sign an undertaking when joining.
- Resignation: Give one month of notice if you wish to leave. Otherwise, you must deposit one month of salary for acceptance of your resignation.
- Women’s reservation: If sufficient women are unavailable in a reserved category, the remaining openings can go to other candidates of that category.
- Funding-agency revisions: Future changes communicated by ICAR or the funding agency may change the applicable pay terms prospectively.
- Travel: The university will not cover travel or daily expenses for attending the test. It may cancel the recruitment or leave posts unfilled.

Farm Manager and Programme Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or another branch of Science/Social Science relevant to agriculture, or equivalent, from a recognized university. Stenographer: Class 12 or equivalent with prescribed stenography proficiency.

Farm Manager and Programme Assistant: Master’s degree in Agriculture or relevant Science/Social Science, or equivalent.
आवश्यक कौशल
Stenographer: dictation at 80 words per minute in English, Hindi or Odia, followed by computer transcription.

Farm Manager and Programme Assistant
You will answer 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks in 2 hours.
- Job-related common questions: 30.
- Subject-specific questions: 120.
Stenographer
The written paper has 150 objective questions worth 150 marks, with 2 hours available.
- General English: 50 marks.
- General Awareness: 50 marks.
- Quantitative Aptitude: 50 marks.
The skill test carries 50 marks. You take dictation at 80 words per minute for 10 minutes in English, Hindi or Odia for 25 marks; computer transcription carries 25 marks, with 50 minutes for English or 65 minutes for Hindi/Odia. Shortlisting follows a 1:4 ratio; final merit combines written and skill-test marks.
Written qualifying marks: UR 50%, SEBC 45%, ST/SC/PWD 40%. Ties are resolved by written marks, then older age, then the specified desirable qualification and its marks for Farm Manager/Programme Assistant, or degree marks for Stenographer.
