National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous organisation under the Department of Higher Education, is continuing its deputation drive for Research Scientist C and Senior Superintendent (Accounts). These roles support NTA's examination and administrative work from New Delhi, with one position centred on assessment research and the other on accounts and office systems. The current extension applies only to these two roles; the other posts shown in the enclosed July notice are not part of this extended window.

This is a deputation or foreign-service opportunity for serving officers and employees, rather than open direct recruitment for fresh candidates. Your parent department must support the move and forward the prescribed form through the proper channel. Experience in planning, coordinating or running examinations receives preference, particularly where it connects with academic, technical, finance, administration or legal work.

Posts and Disciplines

• Research Scientist C: assessment-focused work involving psychology, psychometrics, statistics, mathematics, testing methodology or education. Experience with psychometric testing is especially relevant.
• Senior Superintendent (Accounts): office and finance administration covering accounts, audit, purchase, establishment, recruitment, procurement and related institutional processes. Some work may be earmarked for a commerce background with accounts or audit exposure.

Post-wise Duties

Research Scientist C

You will use assessment research and quantitative methods to strengthen the quality of NTA's examination systems. The role can involve studying test performance, reviewing measurement methods, interpreting data and helping teams apply sound psychometric practices. You may also advise examination planners where research findings affect test design, fairness or delivery.

Senior Superintendent (Accounts)

You will manage accounts and office processes within the area assigned to you. The work may include checking financial records, supporting audit and purchase activity, handling establishment or recruitment files, using office software and keeping administrative cases moving under government rules. Your exact desk can depend on NTA's operational needs and your previous service experience.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: the deputation or foreign-service term starts with an initial period of three years and follows the applicable Department of Personnel and Training instructions.
• Serving-officer condition: you must hold the required substantive post or regular service level in your parent organisation. A pay level received only through ACP, MACP or an ad hoc arrangement does not meet this condition.
• Source organisations: the notice accepts serving personnel from the government and other listed autonomous, statutory or public-sector bodies, with the exact pool varying by post.
• Screening: NTA may set shortlisting criteria when it receives more applications than it can reasonably assess. Meeting the stated conditions does not guarantee an interview call.
• Vacancy status: the positions are indicative and NTA may increase, decrease, amend or cancel them during the recruitment process.
• Verification: your originals and service record will be checked when NTA calls you. Any mismatch can end your candidature at that stage.
