NPCIL Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - Overview

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, has invited online applications for 245 Trade Apprentice posts. These posts are at the Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site (RAPS) in District Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The advertisement number is RR Site/HRM/Apprentice/01/2026.

This is a 1-year apprenticeship training programme. Selected candidates will get hands-on training at one of India's important nuclear power stations. No written exam or interview is needed. Selection is based only on your ITI marks.

Note: 9 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

Who Can Apply - Eligibility

Qualification

• You must have passed ITI (Full-time/Regular mode) from a recognized institute in the relevant trade.
• The trade must match the post you are applying for (Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, COPA, Turner, Machinist, or Welder).

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 24 years (as on 18 March 2026)
• Age relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC (NCL) - 3 years, PwBD - 10 years

Physical Fitness

• Minimum height: 137 cm
• Minimum weight: 25.4 kg
• Chest expansion: at least 3.8 cm

Important Conditions

• Candidates who have already completed or are currently doing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act at any other place are NOT eligible.
• Only freshers can apply.

Stipend

Selected candidates will get a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 9,600 as per the Apprentices Act, 1961. No other benefits like PF, Gratuity, or Medical facilities will be given. This is purely a training engagement for 1 year.

Selection Process

There is no written exam and no interview for this recruitment. Selection will be done purely on the basis of merit, which means your ITI marks in the relevant trade will decide your rank.

2. Document Verification: Original certificates will be checked
3. Medical Examination: You must be physically fit as per the standards mentioned above

• Follow all safety rules and guidelines at the nuclear power station
• Complete training modules and tasks assigned by supervisors on time
• Maintain proper records of daily training activities
• Work under the guidance of experienced technicians and engineers
• Follow all rules of the Apprentices Act, 1961 during the training period
