NIT Warangal JRF Mathematics Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, is hiring a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in its Department of Mathematics. The fellowship sits in the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF)-ARG project "Global Existence and Asymptotic Expansions to the Solutions of Dispersive-Dissipative Equations", run jointly with the School of Mathematical Sciences, NISER Bhubaneswar.

The project studies how solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations behave — whether they exist globally, whether they are unique and how they expand asymptotically. If you hold an M.Sc in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, have cleared NET or GATE and enjoy PDE theory, this is a solid first step into a research career, with a clear path towards a Ph.D.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of post: Purely temporary project position lasting up to three years or the end of the project, whichever is earlier.
• Supervision: You work under the joint guidance of Dr. Satyanarayana Engu (NIT Warangal) and Dr. Manas Ranjan Sahoo (NISER Bhubaneswar).
• Fellowship step-up: The monthly fellowship rises in the third year, and HRA follows the government rules applicable at NIT Warangal.
• Hostel and mess: On-campus hostel and mess facilities are offered subject to availability.
• Ph.D. route: You are encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. programme at NIT Warangal under the institute's rules whenever an admission notification comes out.
• Age cut-off: Your age is counted as on the commencement date of the notification, not the last date.
