NIT Silchar Project Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview
National Institute of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) is hiring a Project Assistant for a research project in its Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in Assam. The project focuses on portable, biodegradable nano-sensing electrodes for detecting heavy metals in water in the North-Eastern region. This is a project-based contractual engagement under the Integrated Eco-Development Research Programme (IERP), supported by the G. B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project tenure: Your engagement runs for 12 months or until the project finishes, whichever comes first. The appointment is tied to this research project.
- Joining agreement: If selected, you must sign an agreement when you join. The notice makes this a condition of taking up the assignment.
- Institute discretion: NIT Silchar may leave the position unfilled if it does not find a suitable person. Sending an application therefore does not guarantee an appointment.
- Project identity: Dr Anup Kumar Sharma is the principal investigator. The work belongs to the electronics and instrumentation department's IERP-supported project, with sanction reference GBPI/IERP/24-25/02/.

Three-year Diploma in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institute or university.
वांछित योग्यता
B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics Engineering or equivalent, with relevant exposure to electronics, instrumentation and nanotechnology.

अधिकतम 35 वर्ष (09 अक्टू. 2026 तक)
