NIT Nagaland Research Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview
National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NIT Nagaland) is hiring a Research Assistant for a project in its Department of Mechanical Engineering at Chumukedima. Supported by the TEXMIN CPS Centre of Excellence at NIT Nagaland and the Government of India, the project brings together thermo-fluid modelling, moisture collection and artificial intelligence. Its focus is a bio-inspired fogging and waste-heat-driven atmospheric water-harvesting system for zero-water green mining operations.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project tenure: The appointment runs for one year. An extension depends on your performance, so you should treat the initial offer as a project engagement with a defined duration.
- Research setting: The project links flow and heat-transfer modelling with the development of condensation surfaces. Its water-harvesting work aims to improve how moisture forms droplets and how those droplets are collected.
- Control-system focus: The project also covers predictive control using artificial intelligence. This part connects real-time monitoring with the adjustment of cooling, condensation and fogging under changing environmental conditions.

पात्रता मानदंड

B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical/Production and Computer Science, with at least 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA out of 10.
