NIT Kurukshetra Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview
National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra is hiring Junior Research Fellows for the SAKSHAM project in its Computer Engineering department. The research sits within Health and Medical Technologies and connects computing methods with antimicrobial resistance research. The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) supports this work through its PAIR programme, with NIT Kurukshetra as the spoke institution and Indian Institute of Technology Indore as the hub.
Posts and Disciplines
- Deep-Test-All: This project, led by Dr. Vikram Singh, focuses on a genetic algorithm framework for testing deep learning models used in antimicrobial resistance diagnostics and therapeutics.
- Machine learning for antimicrobial resistance: Dr. Yogita leads the project on an interpretable and efficient framework for predicting resistance to drugs. Both project assignments belong to Computer Engineering and form part of the same SAKSHAM recruitment notice.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project appointment: Your initial engagement runs up to 30 June 2027. Continuation can extend to September 2029 or the end of the project, with performance reviewed each semester.
- Workplace: The project is implemented at NIT Kurukshetra in collaboration with IIT Indore at Simrol. Your workplace may change between the spoke and hub institutions as project needs change.
- Doctoral study: If selected, you will be encouraged to pursue and complete a Ph.D. at NIT Kurukshetra under the institute’s rules. This encouragement remains subject to those rules.
- Travel costs: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the test or interview.
- Application accuracy: You are responsible for the information and supporting records you provide. Incomplete or late applications will be rejected.
- Institute discretion: NIT Kurukshetra may cancel this recruitment without giving a reason.

न्यूनतम योग्यता
Postgraduate degree in Engineering/Technology from a UGC-recognised university, institute or autonomous body with 60% or 6.5/10 CGPA for GEN; SC/ST/PwD receive a reduction of 5 percentage points or 0.5 CGPA. Alternatively, a full-time bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent with 75% or 8.0/10 CGPA. Final-year master's students who have submitted their dissertation/thesis may apply, but must provide results by 30 November 2026 or the offer will be cancelled.
