जिम्मेदारियाँ

  • Teach Ayurveda and allied subjects or perform clinical, nursing, library or administrative duties as per the post
  • Guide students and conduct research in the concerned Ayurveda discipline (for faculty)
  • Provide patient care and clinical services at the Ayurveda hospital (for medical and nursing posts)
  • Maintain accounts, records and office files (for non-teaching posts)
  • Publish research papers in indexed and peer-reviewed journals
  • Use computers, AI tools and hospital information systems where required
  • Follow institute rules and Ministry of Ayush guidelines

न्यूनतम योग्यता

Varies by post — PG Degree in Ayurveda (faculty/medical), MD Radiology (radiologist), B.Sc Nursing Ayush (nursing), B.Com/MBA/CA (accountant), 12th + Pharmacy diploma (pharmacist)

Ph.D. in the concerned Ayurveda subject; working knowledge of computers and AI

आवश्यक कौशल

NTET for teaching posts (if not already an Ayurvedic college teacher); working knowledge of computers, AI and hospital information systems

18 - 56 वर्ष (20 जून 2026 तक)

आयु में छूट:

  • SC/ST: 5 वर्ष
  • OBC: 3 वर्ष

Depending on the number of applicants for a post, NIA will hold a Preliminary Test and a Mains Examination to shortlist candidates for interview.

Note: Full details of the test syllabus, number of questions, marks, duration and exam dates will be uploaded only on the institute website (nia.nic.in). The notification does not specify a fixed exam pattern in advance.

Salary ranges from Rs. 29,200 (Pharmacist) to Rs. 2,15,900 per month (Professor) depending on the post, plus NPA and other allowances under the 7th CPC pay matrix.

It varies by post. Teaching posts need a PG Degree in Ayurveda in the relevant subject. Non-teaching posts have their own qualifications — for example, Accountant needs B.Com/MBA/CA and Pharmacist needs 12th pass plus a pharmacy diploma.

Selection is through a Preliminary Test, Mains Examination and Interview (held depending on the number of applicants), followed by document verification. Full exam details are posted on the institute website.
