NEHU Guest Faculty Biomedical Engineering Recruitment 2026: Overview

North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) is recruiting Guest Faculty in Biomedical Engineering for its Shillong campus in Meghalaya. The department belongs to the School of Technology, and the engagement supports the M.Tech Medical Devices programme. This is a temporary guest teaching appointment for the current semester, with an earlier end possible if regular faculty join.

The programme's advertised specialisations bring together medical device engineering and human biology. If you are considering this teaching opportunity, the range of subjects helps you understand the programme's focus and how your own specialisation relates to it. All the listed areas belong to the same Biomedical Engineering recruitment notice.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Medical device design and innovation: The notice includes the design of medical devices and innovations in medical devices among the programme's specialisations.
  • Biosensors and bioelectronics: These are named areas within the Medical Devices programme.
  • Regulation and quality compliance: The advertised specialisations also cover regulatory and quality compliance in medical devices.
  • Materials science and human biology: These subjects complete the range of specialisations listed for this engagement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • End of appointment: Your term lasts only for the current semester or until regular faculty join the department, whichever happens first. The university describes these as short-duration guest appointments.
  • Shortlisting: Meeting the essential conditions does not automatically give you an interview call. NEHU can shortlist the applicants it invites.
  • Interview arrangements: The department will announce the interview date and time. For applicants from outside the university, an online interview may be arranged.
  • Travel: NEHU will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview.
  • Late applications: The university will not consider applications received after its stated closing date and time.
