MNIT Jaipur Research Staff Recruitment 2026: Overview
Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (MNIT Jaipur) is hiring research staff for its AMRUT Centre of Urban Planning for Capacity Building. The team will work on the project Impact Assessment of Rejuvenated Waterbodies under AMRUT 2.0. The centre carries out research, development and capacity-building work for cities and urban areas under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. These are contractual project appointments at the Jaipur centre, with Prof. Nand Kumar named as Principal Investigator.
Posts and Disciplines
- Research Associate: The notice groups grades I, II and III under the same project position. These are alternative grades within this role, rather than separate project teams.
- Senior Research Fellow: This fellowship sits alongside the Research Associate and Junior Research Fellow roles in the waterbodies impact-assessment project.
- Junior Research Fellow: These fellowships form part of the same centre recruitment. All the listed roles support the common project, rather than separate notices for different studies.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract period: The initial appointment runs until March 2027. Further engagement depends on extension of the project or centre; continuation is conditional.
- Recruitment round: The notice says recruitment stays open until the vacancies are filled, while also setting a cut-off for the present round. Read the displayed application deadline as the cut-off for this round.

JRF: postgraduate Science degree with 60% marks, or first-class graduate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning or an equivalent discipline. SRF: first-class postgraduate Science degree with two years of experience, or first-class postgraduate Engineering, Architecture, Planning or equivalent degree. Research Associate: Ph.D. in Science/Engineering, or postgraduate Engineering, Architecture, Planning or equivalent degree with two years of experience.
