Mizoram PSC Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Mizoram Public Service Commission (Mizoram PSC) has released Advertisement No.10 of 2026-2027 for direct recruitment of 1 Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (VAS) post under the Environment, Forest & Climate Change Department, Government of Mizoram. This is a Group 'A' (Gazetted) permanent position. The role mainly involves caring for animals at a zoo or wildlife facility, including health monitoring, disease prevention and animal welfare management.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H) degree from a recognised university.
• Registration: You need a valid registration under the Veterinary Council of India OR the Mizoram State Veterinary Council.
• Computer Proficiency: You must meet the computer proficiency standard set under the Mizoram Group 'A', 'B' and 'C' posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
• Mizo Language: You must pass the qualifying Mizo Language Proficiency test. You are exempted if you studied Mizo as a subject in Class 10 (HSLC) or above in Mizoram, or opted for Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 35 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, or as notified by the Government.
• Age Proof: HSLC/HSSLC certificate showing your date of birth will be accepted.

Salary

• Selected candidates will be placed at Level 10 of the Pay Matrix with an entry pay of Rs. 56,100 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Mizoram Government rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Written Examination conducted by Mizoram PSC (syllabus available on the official MPSC website)
2. Mizo Language Proficiency Qualifying Test (if not exempted)
3. Document Verification
4. Final Merit List based on written exam performance

How to Apply

1. Go to the Mizoram PSC online portal at mpsconline.mizoram.gov.in.
2. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done — register by 4:00 PM on 19 June 2026.
3. Fill in the online application form for Advertisement No.10 of 2026-2027.
4. Upload all required documents — marksheets, certificates, computer proficiency certificate, Mizo language certificate, age proof, and valid veterinary council registration.
5. Pay the application fee online (UPI from the registered mobile number only).
6. Submit the application and verify successful submission before 4:00 PM on 19 June 2026.

Documents must be dated on or before the last date of application. Government servants must apply through proper channel. PwD candidates are exempted from application fees.
