MIL Director DCC Recruitment 2026: Overview

Munitions India Limited (MIL) is setting up a Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) Coordination Cell, or DCC, at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). The cell will connect defence production organisations with academic research under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence.

The Director will join on a full-time contract to support long-term research partnerships involving M.Tech. and Ph.D. scholars. Your work will sit at the meeting point of defence technology needs and research at IIT Madras, while MIL handles the engagement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: The initial engagement lasts two years. Extensions can take the total tenure to five years, subject to the retirement-age ceiling stated in the notice; an extension is not automatic.
• Work arrangement: You will follow IIT Madras working hours or the schedule MIL directs. The employer decides the working pattern, and the engagement does not give you regular employee status.
• Performance review: MIL will assess your work every six months. You must follow the company rules that govern conduct and the work assigned under this engagement.
• Confidentiality: The notice places the Director under the Official Secrets Act. You must protect information learned through the role; the relevant records remain government property.
• Leave: Annual leave accrues monthly and has a carry-forward limit. Casual leave also accrues with completed service, while restrictions apply to monthly and consecutive leave; medical grounds and approved exceptions receive separate treatment.
• Attendance: Company holidays apply. Absence outside approved leave or company holidays leads to a proportionate reduction in pay.
• Ending the contract: Either side can end the engagement by giving one month of notice or paying the corresponding amount in place of notice.
• Disputes: Courts and tribunals in Pune have jurisdiction over disputes arising from this advertisement. MIL may change its selection approach where a contingency makes this necessary.
