Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (MDU) is recruiting a research team through its Centre for Professional and Allied Studies in Gurugram. The Haryana State Research Fund (HSRF) sponsors the project, which examines skill development and youth employability in Haryana using a demand-driven employability framework. The engagement is tied to this project, and the notice makes extensive travel across Haryana part of every advertised role.
Posts and Disciplines
- Research Assistant: A research-staff position within the HSRF project at MDU’s Gurugram centre. This post has its own academic and experience preferences in the advertisement.
- Project Fellow: A separate project appointment within the same research team. Its maximum engagement period differs from those of the other roles.
- Field Investigator: A field-facing position in the same Haryana employability study. The notice includes this role alongside the Research Assistant and Project Fellow in a single recruitment.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Maximum tenure: The Research Assistant engagement is for up to four months, the Project Fellow for up to six months and the Field Investigator for up to five months.
- Project-linked appointment: All appointments are temporary and end with the project. The stated periods are maximum tenures rather than promises of continuing university employment.
- Travel: You should be prepared for extensive travel across Haryana whichever post you choose. The work profile is not limited to the Gurugram centre.
- Interview attendance: If called, you must attend in person. The university will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending.
- University discretion: MDU may decide not to fill some or all advertised posts, without giving a reason.
- Application declaration: Your statements must be accurate. False information or failure to meet the notified conditions can lead to cancellation of your candidature.
