KSSM Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026: Overview

Kerala Social Security Mission (KSSM) is hiring Staff Nurses for the Mittayi Project, a Government of Kerala scheme of the Department of Social Justice that gives full care to children and teenagers living with Type 1 Diabetes. The selected nurses will work at the project units in Government Medical College Alappuzha and Government Medical College Kottayam. This is a contract job, not a permanent government post, and KSSM says it needs people quickly.

The work mixes nursing follow-up with record keeping: you track each child on the project, make sure devices such as CGM sensors and insulin pumps reach the right families, and keep the Mittayi online portal up to date. If you hold an MSc Nursing degree, especially in paediatric nursing, and like working with children and parents, this role suits you well.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: You sign a contract agreement with KSSM and get a consolidated monthly pay for one year from the day you join. KSSM may extend the contract based on your performance, integrity and the mission's needs.
• Choose your district: The application form asks you to name the district you are applying for, either Alappuzha or Kottayam.
• Selection basis: KSSM will look at your qualification, experience (if any) and your performance in a written test, an interview, or both, depending on what the mission decides to hold.
• Experience proof: Attach self-attested copies for every qualification or experience you claim. Offer letters, appointment orders and salary slips are not accepted as proof of experience.
• Email-only contact: All messages, including the interview call letter, are sent only by email, so give an email ID you check often.
• Incomplete forms: Incomplete or ineligible applications are rejected without any further message from KSSM.
• No travel allowance: KSSM pays no TA/DA for attending the written test or interview.
