Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kottayam, under Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), has released a notification (No. KVK/973/2025) for the temporary post of Programme Assistant (Computer) on a daily wage basis. KVK Kottayam is an ICAR-supported farm science centre located at Kumarakom P.O., Kottayam, that carries out agricultural extension, demonstration, and training activities for farmers in the region. The appointment is for one year or till a regular employee is appointed, whichever comes first. Freshers with a Computer Science or Computer Applications degree can apply, and prior experience in agricultural data handling or poster making is an added advantage.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Applications from a recognised university.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in data handling in agricultural extension projects and poster making is preferred but not mandatory.

Age Limit

• You should be not more than 40 years of age.
• Age relaxation in the upper age limit will be given as per existing government rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• Daily wage rate: Rs. 870 per day
• Maximum monthly limit: Rs. 24,590 per month
• Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The appointment is on a daily wage, temporary basis only.

Selection Process

Selection is based on evaluation of the application and interview:

1. Application Screening: Applications submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure 1) will be reviewed for eligibility.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. Produce original documents at the time of interview.
3. Document Verification: Self-attested copies of certificates for educational qualification, age, and experience must accompany the application. Originals are verified at interview.

Note: The selected candidate will have to execute a bond on Rs. 200 stamp paper confirming no preferential claim to any other post or service benefit.
