The Cardamom Research Station under KAU, located at Pampadumpara in Idukki district, has issued a notice (Ref: C.R.S.P.(2)-972/26 dated 15 July 2026) to fill 1 vacancy of Computer Assistant on a daily-wage basis. This is a short-term engagement of up to 59 days, or until a regular appointment or an Employment Exchange candidate becomes available, whichever comes first. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification 1: You must have passed Plus Two (12th) or an equivalent examination.
• Qualification 2: You must also hold English Typewriting Higher (KGTE or equivalent), Computer Word Processing certification, and Malayalam Typewriting Lower (KGTE or equivalent).
• Experience: Prior work experience is preferred but not compulsory.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST and other eligible community candidates get relaxation in the upper age limit as per PSC norms.

Salary

• You will get a daily wage of Rs. 870 per day, up to a maximum of Rs. 23,490 per month.
• Selected candidates are not entitled to any other allowances apart from this daily wage.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done directly through a walk-in interview. There is no written exam.

1. Walk-In Interview: You will be assessed on your age, qualification, work experience, and the documents you bring.
2. Document Verification: Your original certificates and self-attested photocopies will be checked on the spot.

The final decision on interview and appointment rests with the Head of the Cardamom Research Station. Since there is no written exam, your certificates and how well you demonstrate your typing and computer skills during the interview matter the most.
