KAU Assistant Professor Soil Science Recruitment 2026

KAU Assistant Professor Soil Science Recruitment 2026: Overview

Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) is hiring an Assistant Professor in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry on contract at its Regional Agricultural Research Station in Pilicode, Kasaragod. The notice is for a provisional appointment at the station, with service governed by the university rules. The contract does not lead to a permanent university appointment, so you should consider it as a time-limited engagement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Your appointment can run for one year, but it ends earlier if a regular appointee joins. The earlier of these events determines the end of the engagement.
• Employment status: You cannot claim permanency or regularisation through this contract. The notice limits your entitlement under the appointment to the consolidated pay attached to the post.
• Service rules: The appointment follows the KAU Act, statutes, regulations and rules. Work attached to the post falls under the direction of the head of the institution or department.
• Ending the contract: The university can end the temporary appointment for unsatisfactory performance, malpractice or misconduct.
• Travel: KAU will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the walk-in interview. You will need to arrange your own travel to the station.
• Appointment agreement: If selected, you must sign the prescribed agreement on stamp paper worth Rs. 200. This is an appointment condition, not an application fee.

Application Submission Notes

Send your application in the Annexure-I format as an email attachment to rarspil@kau.in; the notice does not ask you to send a hard copy. Use the subject line “Application for the post of assistant professor (Contract) in the department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry” so the department is clear.

The walk-in venue is the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Pilicode, Kasaragod 671310, with the interview beginning at 9:30 AM. The station lists 0467-2260632 for enquiries; use its official updates for any further instructions about attending.
