JSSHS Faculty and Specialist Recruitment 2026: Overview
Janakpuri Super Speciality Hospital Society (JSSHS), an autonomous institute under the Government of NCT of Delhi, is recruiting faculty and Specialist Grade III doctors for its Janakpuri hospital. These are contractual appointments across medical and surgical specialties, with separate recruitment rules for each rank and discipline. The hospital combines specialist patient services with academic activity, including a DrNB Cardiology programme.
Posts and Disciplines
- Professor: Cardiology, Anaesthesia, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology and Radiology.
- Associate Professor: Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology and Radiology.
- Assistant Professor: Anaesthesia, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology and Radiology.
- Specialist Grade III: Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS), Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nuclear Medicine, Oncology and Radiology.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Faculty tenure: The initial contract runs for three years and may be extended for another two years. Further extensions depend on annual performance reviews and the Delhi government's retirement rules.
- Specialist tenure: The initial appointment lasts five years. Either side must give three months' notice to end the contract; later extensions depend on performance and the applicable retirement limit.
- Whole-time service: Private practice of any kind is prohibited. If selected, you must follow the hospital's rules and the terms set by its Governing Council.
- Reservation: Only Delhi OBC applicants can claim the OBC reservation in this recruitment. Reserved-category appointments remain provisional until the hospital checks the claim through the relevant authorities.
- Changes to recruitment: The hospital may change the positions advertised or cancel all or part of the exercise. It will publish corrections on its website and the Delhi Health and Family Welfare website.
- Interview communication: The hospital will announce the venue and schedule online; it will not send separate call letters. You must report an hour before your scheduled interview, and no travel or daily allowance is payable.
- Accuracy of your application: False information or hidden material facts can end your appointment. Canvassing or attempting to influence the decision can disqualify you.

Send the prescribed application by Speed Post to The Director, Administrative Block, 1st Floor, Janakpuri Super Speciality Hospital, C-2B, Janakpuri, New Delhi 110058. Clearly write the post and discipline on your envelope and on the first page of the application form; use the separate form supplied for faculty or Specialist Grade III, as appropriate.
The notice directs you to pay through the POS machine at the Accounts Branch, 1st Floor, JSSHS, using a credit or debit card. The hospital will not accept late applications or take responsibility for postal delays; if the closing day is a declared holiday, receipt moves to the next working day.

- Faculty: supporting research/publication records and copies of best five publications
- Application and accompanying documents as a single soft-copy file on CD/DVD
- Original certificates, one attested set of copies and one passport-size photograph at interview

Your postal application must reach JSSHS by 6 November 2026 at 4:00 PM. If that day is a declared holiday, the notice allows receipt on the next working day.
You need the medical and specialty qualifications listed for your post in Annexure A, along with valid DMC registration. Teaching experience and publication requirements differ by faculty rank and specialty.
Use the prescribed form and send it by Speed Post to The Director, Administrative Block, 1st Floor, JSSHS, C-2B, Janakpuri, New Delhi 110058. Pay the fee by card at the hospital Accounts Branch POS machine and include the receipt.
Monthly faculty pay is Rs. 3,05,000 for Professor, Rs. 2,55,000 for Associate Professor and Rs. 1,95,000 for Assistant Professor, including allowances. Specialist Grade III pay starts at Rs. 67,700 under Level 11 plus admissible allowances.
You will attend an interview and present your original records for checking. Appointment also depends on medical fitness; the interview schedule will be published online.
