IITK Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026: Overview
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is hiring one Project Associate-I in its Department of Materials Science and Engineering. The post sits in a sponsored research project titled "Room Temperature Hydrogen Gas Sensor by Utilizing 2d Multicomponent Quasicrystalline Alloys", led by Prof. Krishanu Biswas. This is a temporary, project-linked contractual position, not a regular institute post.
The project works on sensing hydrogen at room temperature using two-dimensional quasicrystalline alloys, so the lab leans heavily on materials characterisation. If you hold an M.Tech or M.Sc in materials science, metallurgy, chemistry or physics and have spent a few years running lab characterisation equipment, your profile fits what the project is looking for.
Service Conditions and Caveats
