IIT Guwahati Assistant Project Engineer Recruitment 2026: Overview
Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) is hiring an Assistant Project Engineer for a sponsored project in its Department of Chemical Engineering. The project is titled "Design and Development of a Demonstration Plant for Production of Marketable Grade Green Activated Carbon from Bamboo Dust".
Put simply, the team is building a demonstration plant that turns bamboo dust, a waste product, into activated carbon good enough to sell. This is a temporary project post handled by the institute's Research and Development Section, not a regular IIT Guwahati staff job.
The post suits a fresh engineering or design graduate who wants hands-on experience on a pilot-scale plant. The project is led by Prof. Senthilmurugan Subbiah, the Principal Investigator.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Fixed tenure: The appointment is for 11 months under the project.
