IIT Bombay Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) is hiring 70 Graduate Apprentices in the Non-Technical/General Stream. This is a great chance for fresh graduates to get hands-on training at one of India's top institutes. The apprenticeship is for 3 years and you will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,300.

Who Can Apply?

• You need a Bachelor's degree in Arts, Commerce, Science, BBA, BCA, Hotel Management, Journalism, Mass Communication or Management Science from a recognized university.
• You must have passed your degree after March 2023.
• Only fresh graduates can apply. If you have any work experience, you are not eligible.
• Candidates who have already done apprenticeship training elsewhere cannot apply.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 25 years (as on 28 February 2026)
• Age relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years
• Age relaxation for OBC: 3 years

• Unreserved (UR): 30 posts
• OBC: 18 posts
• SC: 10 posts
• ST: 5 posts
• EWS: 7 posts

Stipend and Benefits

• Monthly stipend: Rs. 12,300
• Year 1: Rs. 7,800 from IIT Bombay + Rs. 4,500 from NATS (Direct Benefit Transfer)
• Years 2 and 3: Full stipend paid by IIT Bombay
• Free OPD medical facility at IIT Bombay Hospital
• Certificate of Proficiency from Government of India after completing 1 year
• No accommodation or travel allowance provided

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is purely based on merit (marks in your qualifying degree). Shortlisted candidates must come for document verification on 3 March 2026 at IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai.

• Maintain attendance and submit progress reports as needed
