Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune (IISER Pune) is hiring project staff for privately funded work on energy materials and batteries. The institute, established under the ministry now called the Ministry of Education, combines teaching with research in basic sciences. Posts and Disciplines

• Senior Project Associate: A research role focused on materials for next-generation energy applications.

Post-wise Duties

Senior Project Associate

You will develop, test and improve energy materials. The work focuses on materials intended for the next generation of energy applications.

Project Associate-II

You will develop and test materials for next-generation batteries. Your work also includes improving those materials within the funded project.

Project Assistant

You will develop, test and improve battery materials and batteries. This role includes both the materials and the batteries named in the project requirements.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: Each appointment is for six months. An extension depends on satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.
• Project closure: Your appointment ends automatically if the project ends, without separate notice or compensation.
• No permanent appointment claim: Taking up the project position does not give you a right to absorption or another appointment at IISER Pune or the funding agency.
• Applicable terms: The funding agency's conditions for this particular project govern the appointment.
• Changes in staffing: The institute may change the number of positions according to its requirements during recruitment.
• Waitlist: A person on the waiting list may receive an offer if a selected applicant does not join or leaves after joining.
• Travel costs: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview.
• Conduct: Trying to influence the recruitment through political or other pressure can lead to disqualification. The institute will not respond to interim enquiries about the process.
