IGNOU Administrative Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is hiring Administrative Associates for its Regional Centre in Nagpur. This is a full-time contractual engagement at the centre on Amravati Road, with continuation governed by the appointment terms.

The notice makes the temporary nature of the engagement clear through both its conditions and the application declaration. If you take up the role, you cannot use this appointment as a basis to claim a regular university job.

Service Conditions and Caveats

Initial engagement: The appointment begins with six months and can be extended based on performance. The maximum engagement is two years or until you turn 70, whichever comes first.
Termination: The university may end the engagement without giving a reason. An extension should therefore not be treated as guaranteed.
Confidentiality: Information about university matters handled during the assignment must remain within the university. You must not disclose it to an outside source.
Ownership of work: Intellectual property rights in the data and proceedings belong to IGNOU.
Outside representation: During the engagement, you must not represent others in cases or give outside advice on matters handled as part of your assignment.
Travel expenses: IGNOU will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview, so you must make your own arrangements.
Truthful information: Incorrect information can lead to cancellation of your candidature. The undertaking also allows the university to discontinue your service without notice if false information is discovered.

Send your completed prescribed application to The Regional Director, IGNOU, Regional Centre, 14, Hindustan Colony, Amravati Road, Nagpur-440033. The application format is included with the notification.

Write “APPLICATION FOR THE ENGAGEMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE REGIONAL CENTRE, IGNOU” in capital letters on the top of the envelope. Applications reaching the centre after the closing date will not be considered.
