ICMR-National Institute of Health Research, Gorakhpur, formerly known as RMRC, is hiring a Project Research Scientist I (Medical) for its State Level VRDL project. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: The appointment starts with a 12-month term. Any later extension depends on the work still needed, the time available to complete it and a satisfactory performance assessment by the competent authority.
• Extension limit: Extensions are considered individually, and the total engagement cannot exceed five years. You should not treat an extension as automatic when planning your commitment to the project.
• Project appointment: This engagement does not give you a claim to a regular position in ICMR, its institutes or centres, or another Government of India department. Time spent on this or other projects also gives no right to absorption or regularisation.
• Further assignments: Completing a project term does not create a right to transfer to another project or receive another assignment. This applies whether your project service has been continuous or has included breaks.
• Contract termination: ICMR-NIHR may end the position during the agreed term or an extension without stating a reason. Keep this condition in mind when deciding whether a temporary research appointment fits your plans.
• Leave: Leave follows ICMR policy for project human resource positions. The notice treats this role as a project appointment with its own service conditions.
• Travel and stay: You must arrange your own transport and accommodation for attending the interview or personal discussion. The institute will not reimburse travel or daily expenses for attending.
• Institute discretion: The competent authority decides the duties assigned to the selected person. The institute may also change or cancel the recruitment process, and the authority's decision is final.
