IBSD Project Associate I Recruitment 2026: Overview
BRIC-Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (BRIC-IBSD) is recruiting Project Associate-I staff for a Department of Biotechnology-funded study at Imphal, Manipur. The project studies microbial isolates from the North Eastern Regions and their ability to produce hemicellulolytic enzymes for generating prebiotics. Your appointment would be attached to this specific research project at the institute in Takyelpat.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project-linked engagement: The appointment can run for three years or until the project finishes, whichever comes first. You should therefore plan around the project's duration when considering the role.
- Temporary status: The position ends with the project. This is a research engagement tied to project funding and completion, with no promise of a continuing appointment after that work ends.
- No claim to regular service: Taking this post does not give you a claim to a regular appointment at BRIC-IBSD, its branches or the Department of Biotechnology in New Delhi.
- Travel costs: You must pay your own travel and daily expenses to attend the interview. The institute will not reimburse these costs.

Master's degree in Biotechnology, Life Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry or equivalent from a recognised university.
वांछित योग्यता
Hands-on experience in microbial cultivation, fermentation techniques, microbial enzyme assays, purification and characterization.

Rs. 31,000 per month for applicants selected through CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship/Assistant Professorship, GATE, or a national-level examination conducted by Central Government departments, agencies or institutions. Rs. 25,000 per month for others.

8% HRA in addition to the applicable monthly pay.
