The Office of the Junior Plant Protection Officer, Hazaribagh is hiring Crop Guards (Fasal Rakshak) for the government plant protection centres in Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand. The posts come under the Crop Protection Programme (Fasal Suraksha Karyakram) for the financial year 2026-27, following a letter from the Directorate of Agriculture, Jharkhand, Ranchi. This is an honorarium-based, short-term engagement and not a regular government post. Posts and Disciplines

• Crop Guard (Fasal Rakshak) - one post in each centre: the plant protection centres at Sadar Hazaribagh, Vishnugarh, Chouparan, Barkagaon and Barhi each get one Crop Guard. You are considered for the centre where you submit your application.
• Reservation note: the reservation roster behind the post count is provisional. It becomes final only after the Deputy Commissioner, Hazaribagh certifies it, so the category split could still change.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: You will work only until February 2027, or until regular appointments are made to these posts, whichever comes first.
• Local residence: You must be a local resident of the block where the plant protection centre runs. A residence certificate is compulsory.
• Practical skills: Climbing trees and riding a bicycle are mandatory for this job, because crop and pest checks happen in fields and orchards.
• Training: You need at least a 5-day training course run under the Directorate of Agriculture and Horticulture, plus working knowledge of the local language.
• Preference: Candidates with the 5-day training or longer, and people who have already worked with the Agriculture Division, get priority.
• Final decision: A selection committee takes all decisions, and appointments follow the district roster. You cannot raise any claim against the committee's final decision.
