The Urban Local Bodies Department, Haryana oversees 87 municipalities (11 Municipal Corporations, 24 Municipal Councils, and 52 Municipal Committees) that provide civic amenities across the state. The Department is now engaging 150 Engineering Associates in Civil, Electrical, and Horticulture disciplines to support these municipalities. The engagement is on a contract basis, initially for one year and further extendable up to three years. This is a good opportunity for engineering and horticulture graduates looking to gain government project experience.

Who Can Apply?

Engineering Associate (Civil):

• You need a B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering from any recognized university or institution in India.

Engineering Associate (Electrical):

• You need a B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering from any recognized university or institution in India.

Engineering Associate (Horticulture):

• You need a First Class degree in Agriculture with specialisation in Horticulture, or an M.Sc. in Horticulture (including Floriculture and Olericulture), or an M.Sc. in Botany with Horticulture as one of the subjects.

Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD, Master's Degree, or those who topped their Bachelor's Degree in the prescribed streams.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a monthly remuneration of Rs. 30,000.
• The engagement is on contract basis, initially for one year and extendable up to three years based on performance.

Selection Process

The evaluation process differs by post:

1. Screening: Applications are scrutinized by a committee at the Directorate level, and candidates are shortlisted based on merit.
2. Engineering Associate (Civil & Electrical): Selection is based on your GATE Score of the last two years.
3. Engineering Associate (Horticulture): Selection combines your qualification, experience, and a written test for a total of 100 marks.
4. Final Selection: Based on the merit list prepared by the Directorate; the department's decision is final.
