GMC Thiruvananthapuram ECG Technician Recruitment 2026: Overview
Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (GMCTVM) is hiring ECG Technicians on a temporary, daily-wage basis for the institutions attached to the medical college. The notice, issued in Malayalam under reference GMCTVM/7099/2023-EN4(2), is aimed at experienced cardiac technicians — you need hands-on ECG/TMT work in a government or insurance medical service hospital, not just the diploma.
Selection is through a walk-in interview at the Principal's office, and the college will keep a rank list from this round to fill openings over the following year.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract length: you are engaged for up to 179 days, or until a regular appointment is made to the post, or until someone is appointed temporarily through the Employment Exchange — whichever comes first.
- Daily wage: you are paid for each working day, and the notice sets a maximum ceiling on the total you can draw.

- Place of work: the posts are in the affiliated institutions of GMC Thiruvananthapuram, not one fixed department.
