GBU Research Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview
Gautam Buddha University (GBU) is hiring a Research Assistant for its Centre for Environmental Law Management and Research (CELMAR) in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This is a full-time contractual appointment linked to the centre’s environmental research and policy work.
CELMAR brings together academic and policy discussions on environmental law. The centre supports exchanges among researchers, practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders, with public participation in environmental issues forming part of its wider purpose.
Its stated aims include developing cost-effective responses to environmental degradation and climate change. The centre receives funding from government and other agencies and sits within the School of Law, Justice and Governance.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract tenure: Your initial appointment lasts one year and may be extended for a further year or years. An extension is a possibility under the notice, rather than a guaranteed continuation.
- No regularisation right: Appointment does not give you a claim to a permanent university position or the allowances and benefits available to regular employees.
- Campus accommodation: University accommodation may be available, subject to availability and university rules. Do not treat housing as a guaranteed part of the appointment.
- Leave: The notice permits 14 days of casual leave in a year under GBU rules.
- Joining: If selected, you must join your duties physically at CELMAR in GBU.
- Travel costs: The university will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the recruitment assessments.
- University discretion: CELMAR may relax conditions, change appointment terms or withdraw the advertisement without prior notice. Attempts to influence recruitment can lead to disqualification.

न्यूनतम योग्यता
Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Biochemistry, Environmental Studies, Forestry, Botany or an allied discipline, with sound knowledge of ecology, environmental science and environmental policy.
वांछित योग्यता
Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and/or research or project experience in environmental studies and allied areas.

Research, documentation, report writing, project-proposal preparation, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and related software.
