ESIC Okhla Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview

Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is filling doctor posts at its ESIC Hospital, Okhla, New Delhi through a single walk-in interview. The drive covers three kinds of engagement: Senior Residents under the Central Residency Scheme, Full Time Contractual Specialists, and Full Time or Part Time Contractual Super Specialists.

All posts are contractual — there is no route to a permanent job through this notice. If you hold a PG degree or diploma, or a DM/MCh/DNB super-speciality degree, and want hospital experience in Delhi, this walk-in lets you apply for any one of the posts on the same day.

Posts and Disciplines

• Senior Resident (Residency Scheme): Anaesthesiology with ICU, Dermatology, Gynaecology, Pathology, Paediatrics with NICU, Psychiatry, Radiology, Surgery, Medical Oncology and Nephrology. The engagement is for one year at a time, renewable up to three years.
• Full Time Contractual Specialist: Anaesthesia with ICU, Biochemistry, Chest, Dental (Endodontist), Eye, Gynaecology, Medicine, Radiology, and Accident and Emergency. You are engaged as a Junior Specialist or Senior Specialist depending on your post-PG experience.
• Contractual Super Specialist (Full Time or Part Time): Cardiology, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Urology and Rheumatology, at Entry Level or Senior Level. Part-time super specialists work 4 hours a day, 4 days a week.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Residency limit: If you have already completed 3 years as a Senior Resident under the Central Residency Scheme, you cannot apply for the Senior Resident post.
• Non-PG option: If no PG doctor is available, an MBBS doctor with two years' experience (one year in the speciality, in a hospital and not a private clinic) may be taken as Senior Resident for one year on a consolidated salary.
• Super-speciality departments: When no DM/MCh Senior Resident is available, Senior Residents from the parent broad speciality will be considered.
• Tenure: Specialist and full-time Super Specialist contracts run for up to 3 years with yearly review; part-time Super Specialist contracts run for one year or until a regular officer joins.
• Private practice: Not allowed for any full-time contractual post.
• Security deposit: You deposit Rs. 10,000 by demand draft at joining. It is refunded after your tenure (minimum three months including the 30-day notice) and a No Dues Certificate.
• Agreement: You sign an agreement on Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper at your own cost.
• Exit terms: Either side can end the contract with one month's notice. Leaving within six months means no experience certificate, and 10 days of unauthorised absence counts as abandoning the job.
• No extra benefits: No PF, pension, gratuity, seniority, promotion, hostel, quarters, uniform or TA/DA for the interview or joining.
• Serving doctors: Bring a No Objection Certificate from your employer; serving Senior Residents in government institutions must apply through proper channel.
• Seat changes: The Medical Superintendent may raise or cut the number of seats, or cancel the interview, based on actual need.

Application Submission Notes

There is no online form. Report to ESIC Hospital, Okhla, New Delhi between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the interview day with the filled Annexure A (bio-data), Annexure B (qualification and experience details) and Annexure C (self-declaration) from the notification.

Bring attested photocopies plus originals of your certificates, two passport-size photos and proof of residence. The fee is paid by demand draft in favour of "ESI Fund A/c no. 01" payable at New Delhi.
