Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract duration: The engagement can run for five years. It ends at the maximum contractual tenure or when the faculty member reaches the contract's age ceiling, whichever comes first.
• Ending the contract: Either you or ESIC may end the arrangement with one month's notice. Selection does not create a right to confirmation or continued service, as regular appointments can replace these contractual arrangements.
• Private practice: You cannot carry out private practice while serving ESIC under this contract. Consider this restriction if you currently work outside an institutional setting.
• End-of-contract benefits: Completing the contractual tenure does not give you a claim to gratuity or other financial benefits under this engagement.
• Immediate joining: If selected, you must join immediately after receiving the appointment offer. The notice asks you to be ready to take up the assignment at that point.
• Provisional posts: ESIC may increase or reduce the openings according to its actual requirements. The department-wise position in the notice is therefore provisional.
• Interview access: Handing in an application does not, by itself, guarantee that you will be interviewed. The result will be displayed on the ESIC website.
