Posts and Disciplines

Post-wise Duties

Medical Officer

You will examine beneficiaries, manage routine clinical cases, prescribe treatment and refer patients when specialist care is needed. You will also keep medical records and treatment notes clear enough for follow-up care within the ECHS system.

Clerk

You will handle registration, records, correspondence and computer-based office work. The role may also involve coordinating appointments, keeping files ready for review and helping beneficiaries with routine desk queries.

Female Attendant

You will support women patients during examinations, help them move safely through the polyclinic and assist clinical staff with basic patient-care arrangements. Cleanliness, privacy and respectful communication are central to the role.

Peon

You will move files and supplies, support office sections and help keep daily administrative work organised. The job calls for reliability, punctuality and an ability to follow instructions across the polyclinic.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: the initial engagement runs for eleven months or one year, depending on the applicable arrangement, and may be renewed for one further year subject to performance and the prescribed maximum age.
• Preference: ex-servicemen receive preference, and the notice sets different preference proportions against the individual posts.
• Shortlisting: ECHS may call a limited group for each vacancy after checking applications and supporting documents.
• Interview travel: no travel or daily allowance is paid for attending the selection.
• Joining preparation: selected candidates complete unpaid on-the-job training before their joining date.
