DTU AI Engineer Recruitment 2026: Overview

Delhi Technological University (DTU) is hiring AI Engineers for a project sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The project develops artificial intelligence tools to analyse cybersecurity audit reports, compare their quality and monitor the performance of auditing organisations. Based at DTU in Delhi, this is a project-based contractual engagement involving secure deployment of research software.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Your appointment lasts for twelve months or until the project ends, whichever comes first. Renewal depends on satisfactory work, available funding, project needs and approval from the competent authority.
• Initial assessment: You must complete a satisfactory three-month assessment to continue. The Chief Investigator can end the engagement for unsatisfactory performance with one month of notice.
• Work schedule: You must work at least five days a week and at least eight hours a day within the 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM window, or according to project needs. Your work must meet the Chief Investigator’s timelines and agreed deliverables.
• Confidentiality: Project data must stay confidential. You may need to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) under the project and university rules.
• Project travel: Workshops, conferences, scientific events and visits to other institutions in India count as official duty only after prior approval from the competent authority or Chief Investigator.
• Employment status: This appointment gives you no claim to a regular or permanent job at DTU or MeitY. The engagement ends when the project finishes, and it may end earlier at the Chief Investigator’s discretion.
• University rules: DTU’s disciplinary rules apply during the engagement. Your project work must also follow the sponsoring agency’s requirements.
• Recruitment travel: DTU will not reimburse travel or daily expenses for attending the interview or another part of recruitment.
• Accuracy and conduct: Incorrect information can cancel your application or appointment, even after you join. Trying to influence recruitment will disqualify you.
• Appointment decision: The Chief Investigator may leave an advertised position unfilled. Meeting the stated conditions does not guarantee an appointment.

• Lead the design and development of artificial intelligence and machine learning systems for cybersecurity audit reports.

• Develop methods to compare reports and assess their quality.
• Deploy project software securely on local infrastructure.
• Validate system performance against project needs.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, datasets, software deliverables and research publications.
• Assist the Chief Investigator across the research project’s phases.
