DMIL CMRL Technician Recruitment 2026: Overview

Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), is holding a walk-in screening for Technicians to run and maintain Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) Phase-II. DMIL takes on operations and maintenance work for metro projects in India and abroad, and this drive staffs the maintenance departments of the new Chennai lines. It is a contractual engagement, not a permanent DMRC job — there is no claim to regularisation later. The drive is built for Government and Government-aided ITI pass-outs from Tamil Nadu; private ITI candidates cannot apply.

Posts and Disciplines

Everyone selected joins as a Technician, but the eligible ITI trades fall into three groups:

• Electrical and mechanical trades: Electrician, Fitter, and Refrigeration and AC Mechanic.
• Electronics and IT trades: Electronic Mechanic, Information Communication Technology System Maintenance, Information Technology, Computer Hardware and Network Maintenance, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, and Power Electronics System.
• Plumbing, welding and carpentry trades: Plumber, Welder and Carpenter.

Your trade does not lock you into one department — DMIL can deploy you in any maintenance department as work demands. A 30% horizontal reservation applies for women candidates.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first engagement is for three years, which can be cut short or renewed depending on your service.
• Training cost bond: You must serve at least three years (leave without pay is not counted). If you leave earlier, DMIL recovers the training cost on a pro-rata basis; the exact amount is shared later.
• Empanelment: Suitable candidates go on a panel valid for two years, and engagement is offered on merit-cum-reservation only as vacancies arise. Being on the panel does not guarantee a job.
• Tamil proficiency: Screening includes a qualifying Tamil reading, writing and speaking test; you skip it if you studied Tamil as a subject in Class 10.
• Medical fitness: Empanelled candidates take a medical test as per the Corporation's standards. DMIL pays for the first test; a re-medical is at your own cost. Candidates who have had LASIK surgery are not suitable for this post.
• Consolidated pay: The monthly CTC already covers accommodation, transport, medical, LTA, canteen and insurance, so there are no separate claims. PF is deducted with a matching DMIL contribution, paid out when the contract ends.
• Leave: You get 8 days of casual leave (pro-rata) and 18 days of earned leave a year.
• Notice period: DMIL can end the engagement with 30 days' notice; to resign, you give 30 days' notice or pay in lieu of it.
• Character check: Engagement depends on a satisfactory character and antecedents verification.
• Caste certificate: Reserved-category claims need a certificate issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu; age relaxation also follows Tamil Nadu rules.

There is no online form. Report for document verification and screening with the filled Bio-Data Form (Annexure-I), your originals and one set of photocopies. Reporting time is 8:30 AM at every venue:
