District Health Society Coimbatore (DHS Coimbatore) is filling Microbiologist and Driver roles for the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme in Coimbatore district. Post-wise Duties

Microbiologist - Culture and DST Lab

You will supervise microbiology and bacteriology work connected with the Culture and DST laboratory, follow biosafety and quality procedures, and keep clear test and programme records. You will also coordinate with clinical and public-health teams so laboratory findings can support treatment decisions and NTEP reporting.

The role calls for careful handling of specimens, dependable documentation and close attention to contamination control. You should be comfortable explaining technical findings to programme staff and checking that laboratory workflows remain consistent.

Driver - Mobile X-Ray Van

You will drive the mobile X-ray van to assigned programme locations across Coimbatore district, carry out routine vehicle checks and report faults before travel. You will help the outreach team move equipment safely, keep trip and vehicle records, and support reliable field schedules.

Basic knowledge of minor repairs is useful because the van operates away from a fixed facility. You must follow road-safety rules and protect the vehicle and onboard equipment during travel and parking.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Both roles are temporary and offered on an eleven-month contract.
• Local preference: Applicants residing in Coimbatore district receive preference.
