CSIR IHBT Project Staff Recruitment 2026: Overview
CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (CSIR IHBT), Palampur, is hiring project staff for floriculture, natural sweetener development, smart agrotechnology and aromatic-plant projects under advertisement 15/2026. The work connects agriculture and laboratory research with computing and remote sensing. Post-wise Duties
Floriculture Project Associate
You will support the floriculture project and its agriculture extension work. The role connects plant-focused research with the project at Stakna, Leh.
Natural Sweetener Project Associates
Your work will support Mogroside V scale-up and enrichment from Siraitia grosvenorii fruit. The food science role relates to product testing and stability, while the chemistry role supports analytical and process work.
Smart Agrotechnology Project Staff
You will support soil and plant health research through computing, geospatial analysis or technical assistance, depending on your position. The project brings together remote sensing and digital tools for agricultural research.
Aroma Project Associate
You will contribute computing support to CSIR Aroma 4.0, which focuses on aromatic plants, rural empowerment and entrepreneurship. Digital development is the focus of this position within the wider project.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project engagement: Your appointment ends with the project or after six years, whichever comes first. It gives no right to a permanent CSIR post.
- Separate project tenures: The floriculture, natural sweetener, smart agrotechnology and Aroma projects have different end points. Your engagement follows the project attached to your position code.
- Performance: Work is reviewed every six months; an unsatisfactory review can end the engagement.
- Recruitment discretion: The advertised positions may change with project needs and candidate suitability. The Director has the final decision on engagement.
- Accuracy: Incorrect information can lead to cancellation of the offer. In a dispute, the English version of the notice applies.
