CSB Sericulture Assistant Recruitment 2026

CSB Sericulture Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Central Silk Board (CSB), under the Ministry of Textiles, is engaging Sericulture Assistants for its Central Muga Eri Research and Training Institute and linked units. The engagement supports the institute at Lahdoigarh in Jorhat, the regional research station at Boko in Kamrup, and the research extension centre in Ahmedabad. These are contractual support roles for ongoing institute work, rather than appointments to a named project.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of engagement: The initial contract is for up to one year. It does not give you a right to regularisation, absorption, continued engagement or another temporary or permanent appointment with CSB.
• Posting preferences: You may indicate three preferred locations. CSB makes the final allocation after considering merit, available positions and its administrative needs, so a preference is not a promise of that posting.
• Institute work: You will support the work of Senior Technical Assistants at CSB institutes or units. The notice expressly separates this engagement from employment under a specific research project.
• Recruitment changes: CSB may change the number of positions or modify or cancel the engagement, either fully or for particular posts. The advertised arrangement therefore remains subject to the Board's requirements.
• Travel costs: You must meet your own interview travel and accommodation expenses. The Board will not provide travel allowance, daily allowance, lodging or boarding.
• Email communication: Keep the email account you give in your application active. CSB will use email for interview arrangements and later correspondence, and it does not accept responsibility for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Application accuracy: Incomplete information can lead to rejection. You cannot add information after submitting the form, and false or unsupported claims can lead to cancellation even after joining.
• Board decisions: CSB retains control over the engagement process and may correct or withdraw a communication if it discovers an error. Canvassing can disqualify you, and disputes arising from the notice fall under the courts at Bengaluru.
• Updates: Check the CSB and institute websites for any later amendment to this advertisement. An amendment may affect the terms you considered when applying.

• Assist Senior Technical Assistants with their work at CSB institutes and units.
