Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Project Technical Support-II Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

BHU has advertised 1 Project Technical Support-II position under an ICMR, New Delhi sanctioned research project titled "Exploring nuclear encoded mitochondrial genes in regulation of OXPHOS activity and its implication in metastasis and patients' survival outcome in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC)" (Project Code: P-14/0818). The position is based in the Department of Urology at the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi. This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, which runs for a maximum of 3 years. It suits candidates with a background in life sciences, medical lab technology, or biomedical research.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: 3-year Graduate degree in a relevant subject with 2 years of experience in the relevant field, OR first-class 12th in Science plus a Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering) with 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Preferred: Post-graduate degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular & Human Genetics, Zoology, Animal Science or Life Sciences, with experience in cell and molecular biology techniques, cancer biology, data analysis and biostatistics.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 35 years for the general category.
• Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC candidates, and 5 years for SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates, as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• You will get a fixed fellowship of Rs. 20,000 per month plus 20% HRA.

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

1. Shortlisting of applications based on qualification, research experience and publications.
2. Interview — shortlisted candidates will be notified by email for an online or physical interview.

No TA/DA will be paid if you are called for a physical interview.
